In der Zeit vom 6. bis 7. Juni 2013 findet das BfR-Symposium:
„First International Conference on Tattoo Safety“
in Berlin statt.
In Kooperation mit der Freien Universität Berlin wird das Bundesinstitut für Risikobewertung (BfR) am 6. und 7. Juni 2013 ein internationales Symposium zur Sicherheit von Tätowiermitteln durchführen. Dabei werden in fünf "Sessions" der aktuelle Kenntnisstand und offene Fragen zu den Teilbereichen Analytik & Exposition, Toxikologie, Mikrobiologie & Hygiene, Technologie und Risikobewertung & Regulation von international renommierten Experten präsentiert und diskutiert. Am zweiten Tag werden darüber hinaus die Stakeholder Gelegenheit haben, ihre Position zum Thema "gesundheitliche Risiken durch Tattoos" darzustellen. Die Veranstaltung findet auf Englisch statt und wird durch den weltweit renommierten Anthropologen und Ethnologen Dr. Lars Krutak, Smithonian Institutions, mit einer "Keynote Address" eröffnet, in der er über die Historie, Bedeutung und Hintergründe der ozeanischen und indigenischen Tätowierkunst und -praktiken referiert.

In the period from 6 to 7 June 2013 is the BfR symposium:
"First International Conference on Safety Tattoo"
held in Berlin.
On 6 and 7 June 2013, the Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR) in cooperation with the Free University of Berlin is staging an international symposium on the safety of tattoo agents. In five sessions, internationally reputed experts will profile the current state of knowledge and discuss open questions in the areas of "Analysis & Exposure", "Toxicology", "Microbiology & Hygiene", "Technology" and "Risk Assessment & Regulation". On day two of the symposium, the stakeholders will also have the opportunity to outline their position on the issue of "Tattoos and Health Risks". The event will be held in English and will begin with a keynote address by world renowned anthropologist and ethnologist Dr. Lars Krutak from the Smithsonian Institutions on the history, significance and background of Oceanic and indigenous tattooing art and practices.
